Her career included being a performer, performer and designer who broke down obstacles in the field. She was both modern and traditional. She was a Mexican American who united the two worlds in an unique manner. The same way there are many who mourn a superstar who died too early, her passing was not a good time and ended a growing career. Over the years, the fans became encouraged to push themselves harder to make sure that Selena's accomplishments would not go unnoticed. The tragic shooting death of Tejano singer Selena spawned a reaction within the Latino community that can be thought of as similar to the responses to the death of Elvis Presley and John Lennon. Selena was a wildly well-known Latino singer across North America. Her music transcended the boundaries of culture and touched the hearts of both young people and older adults. Selena may have been hailed by certain people as a Latina Madonna, but she's still a fantastic role model. Selena's family values off stage and her participation with AIDS awareness campaigns are exemplary.
