Prior to that, she was Special Investigator for the New York Division, where she specialized on counterintelligence investigations. As part of her duties, she identified threats to national security and conducted classified investigations of possible foreign agents. As a member of the FBI Asha was exposed to interrogation and electronic surveillance techniques firearms and the use of deadly force. Asha received the Fulbright scholarship for constitutional reform studies in Bogota Columbia after she graduated with distinction from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. She received her law degree at Yale Law School. There she was also an Coker Fellow for Constitutional Law. In addition to that, she served as a clerk at the Office of Judge Juan R. Torruella of U.S. Court of Appeals First Circuit San Juan Puerto Rico. She is a member of the State Bar of New York (2003) as well as the State Bar of Connecticut (2003). Asha has published op-eds in The New York Times The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post among others as well as being a current legal editor for ABC News. Asha is also a board member of Just Security, and she's also a Council of Foreign Relations member.
